| No one likes feeling under the weather, but it's especially hard when your patient can't tell you what hurts! This Chou Chou doll lets little ones play doctor as they try to figure out what is ailing baby and how to make her all better again.
Use the included instruments to diagnose and treat baby Chou Chou. View larger. View additional items. | The Zapf Creation Mommy, Make Me Better doll will start crying when something is wrong, and it's up to you to help her get well again. When baby Chou Chou's kissable cheeks turn pink--or even bright red--use the thermometer to see if she's running a fever. If she is, giving her medicine with the included spoon will help the fever (and the color in her cheeks) go down. When she gets a boo-boo from an over enthusiastic pet or during one of life's daily lessons, placing a bandage over it should make it better--especially if it's kissed first like grownup moms do it. Listen to Chou Chou's heartbeat with the heart-shaped stethoscope, give her a pacifier to quiet her down, or press her tummy to hear her giggle. Chou Chou is dressed in a white and yellow outfit with a matching yellow cap and also comes with a small stuffed animal of her own to hold. While some doctors might claim two aspirin, we think a heaping dose of TLC is just the thing. Plus, this doll is prepared to give back as much as she gets.

Worth It For A Small Child

| We bought this doll for our 3 year old daughter. She loves to put Band-Aids on just about anything that will stand still long enough to let her do it. I love the concept behind the doll. The crying, the fever, the booboos, the heartbeat and giggles are all exactly how they should be and my daughter is absolutely in love with it. My problem, however, is that the accessories seem so cheap. The doll is well made but the same can't be said for the extras, and they, unfortunately, cheapen it. I really wish they would've incorporated some of the Baby Alive concepts into it. Example: it would've been nice if the liquid (medicine) disappeared as you give it to the baby to make it feel better....this also applies to the syringe. The syringe is so poorly made that I know it won't be long before it's broken (thank goodness it's not needed to quiet the doll). Both are garbage IMO. I know that sounds harsh, but they really are cheap. Some points that I love about the doll: bandages are velcro and reusable, the pacifier is connected (so you don't have to worry about losing it) and the baby isn't too sensitive to movement, in other words it doesn't run a fever and cry at the drop of a hat or a nudge to the tummy...a button has to be pressed and as of yet my daughter hasn't figured out just how to do that....so she brings it to me. I bought the doll for $19.99 and I honestly wouldn't recommend paying a cent more. If your child is young, they will enjoy it so please don't allow my hangs ups to hold you back. If I could, I'd post a picture and show you just how happy my daughter is and how little she cares about my issues with it. At the end of the day this was bought for her and I think she'd give it 5 stars if she could. |

| We have an aspiring doctor in the house! She loves to play nurse or doctor and sometimes a vet, so this doll helps her to visualize the role. |
think that it is cute, butmy daughter got tired of "making her all better"

| I like how to make the doll "feel better" (and you know she isn't feeling good by her red cheeks). There is a systematic way to make her all better (i.e. you have to first take her temperature, check her heart, etc). It teaches patterns and instructions. However, my daughter said to me other other day, "I am tired of making her all better. she is always sick!" And, my daughter is only 3! It is sturdy though and you can play with it like a regular doll because you can turn it off, which is nice. I like it a lot, hopefully after I put it away for a while, she gain new interest in it, like most of her other toys. But, sometimes the plain dolls that don't "do" anything, are just as good! |
Cries and Cries

| We bought the first Chou Chou and still love it, and so many others love this one, I hate to comment, but I have to. This doll cries and cries until the thermometer is put in her mouth. My niece lost it. The crying is very realistic and drives me nuts! We've learned that a pen cap can stop the crying, but my niece can't use it. Also, from the start, the band-aids were too small to fit over the heart-shaped boo-boo on her wrist, so it can't be "made better" and fade. |
Tickled Pink

My niece thoroughly enjoyed the doll. It took a while to get the batteries in and the doll closed back up but when we did, she was tickled to death. We did have to sort of learn how everything worked on our own as far as knowing what to do when she cried and when to mash the buttons and not to. Overall, the doll was worth every penny. NO REGRETS !
